Teen Life Conference ’07

NOTE: Churches should have already received the first mailing. A reminder postcard goes out this Monday. Church leaders, if you’d like to receive future youth news via email as well, please let us know.

This year’s theme is “Back to the Bible”. Your teens will be challenged by Bob Fields, former IL/MO state representative and now pastor of Germantown Hills Baptist Church. He will be challenging your young people during three different sessions on our Baptist heritage, who we are, and why we are.

Your teens will also be able to participate in three workshops that will supplement the theme in the following three areas: what the Bible is (Inerrancy/Inspiration), how we got our Bible (Canon), and what the Bible says (Interpretation/Application). Like last year, these workshops will be interactive and encourage every young person to participate and learn how to apply principles from these three areas in their everyday lives. Each person will also receive a workbook that they can use throughout the sessions.

Various social activities and free time will also encourage young people to interact with each other and those outside their youth group.

This year’s conference is May 11-12 at Camp Manitoumi in central Illinois. Check-in starts at 6:00P.M. with the first session starting at 7:30P.M. Dismissal on Saturday is at 3:30P.M. Early bird registration is $25 per person if postmarked before May 1 and $35 after.

Spring Conference was A Great Blessing

Delhi Baptist Church, Jerseyville, IL and their Pastors, Ron Phillips and Ken Fields did a splendid job of hosting our Spring Conference. Dr. Paul Jackson, President of Evangelical Baptist Missions, was the featured speaker and wonderfully preached God’s Word on the subject of “The Forgotten God Of Missions.” This conference provided us opportunities to build friendships and enjoy fellowship with others from our Fellowship of churches. This conference was one of the better attended conferences in a number of years. If you missed it, you missed a BLESSING!

Be making plans now for the fall conference October 1-2 at Harvest Baptist Church, Oswego, IL.
